STAPLES: SELECTION OF WORK
“ The Staples Product Catalogue has historically acted as a commercially driven buying guide. To compliment the launch of the Make More Happen brand, the Creative team set out to turn this idea on it’s head - and do more. ”
LIFESTYLE CATALOGUE
In collaboration with a Copywriter and Graphic Designer, I created a brand new look and feel for the catalogue, filling the pages with top tips, expert insights and informal articles and interviews.
The vision– to inject real life and personality into every chapter (without taking ourselves too seriously). The concept – to turn a dry, product catalogue into a magazine-esque source of inspiration.
“ In order to persuade businesses that had lost touch to re-invest in our services, we had to think creatively about ways to reach out to them. ”
STAPLES’ LITTLE HELPERS
Myself, an Art Director and Senior Design Specialist were briefed by Staples Business Advantage – and created a series of Sway Cards to get the message across.
The sway cards were sent to old and prospective clients and showed all the ways in which Staples can ‘help build your business’. The Little Helpers series was used in various applications, from greeting cards to printed advertising.
I was integral to the creative process from start (conceptualization) to finish (shoot and post-production). Pens, paper and a fresh cup of coffee might seem like small touches but without them we wouldn’t make it to 5’o clock.
“ For the 2016 Summer Campaign, our team was presented with a single challenge – bringing the beach rays and holiday vibes into the office setting. ”
SUMMER SS16
Myself and an Art Director decided that this was key to engaging with our consumers, and created a concept that fused the two together – literally.
Through split visuals and punchy, playful copy we successfully made the idea of combining work and play possible. I played a key role in the initial brainstorming sessions and alongside a Senior Copywriter presented the final Retail concept.
